Holiday makers will use 'last-minute deals'

Last-minute holiday deals are likely to prove popular with British consumers this summer, ensuring that enough money will be left over for the purchase travel insurance policies.

That is the view of the online comparison service, which has disclosed that there will be plenty of destinations being sold for reasonable prices in the coming months.

The online travel portal also informed travellers of a number tips to cut holiday costs, including having flexibility in departure dates and times, while also frequently checking travel websites.

Bob Atkinson, travel expert at, explained that holidays will need to be sold by providers.

He said: "There is plenty of availability about, with decent prices to a range of destinations where the capacity is there and it needs to be sold."
