Dubai 'ideal for business travellers'

Travel insurance for business trips could be next on the shopping list of those planning on taking a work trip to Dubai, which has been called ideal for business travellers by one group.
According to the Dubai Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing, more and more international business travellers are choosing Dubai as "a travel hub" and a place to expand their company from.
"The emirate's progressive infrastructure offers investors and businesses first class facilities which are considered among the best in the world," a spokesperson from the group said.
Figures from Dubai International published last month showed that in August this year, the airport handled 3,729, 879 passengers, which is a rise compared to August 2008.
In July, the airport enjoyed a record number of passengers, which 3.76 million people passing through its doors.
Dubai has been much in the news recently, as tourists visiting the country have failed to recognise local customs and laws and have subsequently found themselves in a tricky situation.
Researching what kind of behaviour is deemed acceptable in the emirate might be a wise move for tourists and could help them avoid a claim on their holiday insurance.
