'Miles of beach' tempt Europeans to Brazil

The chance to visit miles of beaches in the state of Rio Grande de Norte in Brazil helps to attract visitors from Europe to the area, it has been claimed although visitors should always buy travel insurance for holidays in Brazil.
Economic development secretary of the area Francisco Cipriano de Paulo Segundo also noted that in terms of distance, the area of Natal in the state is closest to Europe, which could be of interest to those looking to get holiday insurance and jet off to sunnier climes this winter.
Commenting on the appeal of the area, he also said that the region has "good, wonderful beaches [and] 410 km of beach with warm water".
He made his remarks while speaking at the Why Brazil? Why Now? Investment Opportunities in Real Estate & Tourism Markets conference, which took place in London last week.
Figures from the Brazilian Tourist Board showed that in 2008, the number of Brits visiting the country rose by 2.3 per cent when compared to the year before.
