Rabat a 'beautiful' holiday spot

The Moroccan city of Rabat is a lovely place to go on holiday because it is such an attractive part of the country.

That is the opinion of architect and design firm Gensler, which has asserted that Rabat is also a top spot because of the number of activated that are available to holidaymakers.

Peter Sheard, senior associate at the firm, was full of praise for the city when he spoke at the recent WaterfrontExpo conference at the Liverpool arena.

Mr Sheard said: "Morocco has been associated with trading and history for a long time but it is popular for walking activities and fishing and it is something that remains popular within Rabat to this day."

He went on to say that the coastline of Rabat is "dominated by the environment" and the waterfront is an important aspect of the local area.

"The city has quite a strong network of parks and open spaces and the landscape has a certain beauty about it," he added. ADNFCR-1320-ID-18866124-ADNFCR
