Abta is to launch a new campaign encouraging people to book ski holidays with its members

People looking to book a ski holiday and take out sports travel insurance will be encouraged to do so with Abta members as part of a new marketing campaign. The travel and tourism association will be attending the Ski and Snowboard Show at Earls Court promoting ski holidays with its members, and also offering advice on how to enjoy a safe ski holiday this winter. The safety advice is also available on abta.com/getfitforski.

Up to 35,000 members are expected to attend the show, which takes place between October 31 and November 4. The Abta stand will be displaying the logos of its members and will also point visitors in the direction of stands run by its members. The travel association will also use social media networks to present the findings of its latest consumer trends survey as well as its ski specific findings.

Victoria Bacon, head of communications at Abta, said: "For many of our members the winter sports market is an important part of their business and these activities will help educate consumers about the advantages of booking with an Abta member in an inspiring and fun way. We also want to make sure those going away are fully prepared to enjoy their ski trip as that helps our members ensure their customers have a safe and happy holiday."
