More and more of us want active holidays, according to a poll
Research has shown that more and more of us are looking for holidays that are physically demanding rather than relaxing.
Health and Fitness Travel conducted a poll into holiday trends which found that 94% of people have exercise and exertion high on their priority when booking a holiday.
However, before booking a golfing break or jet ski holiday people should remember to take out
sports travel insurance first. And with people able to get cover for everything from skiing to scuba diving with World First Travel Insurance, you can be safe in the knowledge your activities are covered.
Watersports and fitness classes are among the favourite activities when we go away, according to the poll.
Paul Joseph, co-founder of Health and Fitness Travel, said: "Gone are the days when people want to return from holiday feeling sluggish with waistbands that little bit tighter.
"More people lead cash-rich and time-poor lives making it harder to focus on their own wellbeing. A health and fitness holiday can be a great way to reset the body, learn a new approach and develop good habits to bring home. "
