Snow still falling for April skiers

Snow was certainly falling in the UK earlier this week but it seems that European holiday resorts have also had their fair share of the white stuff.
According to the Telegraph, the Ski Club of Great Britain says that skiers and snowboarders in numerous mountain areas on the continent had plenty of fresh snow.
Particularly chilly were Argentiere, Avoriaz, Courchevel, Les Arcs, Verbier and Obergurgl, the club claimed.
Some resorts have even extended their opening times so that sporty holidaymakers can make the most of the slopes.
Now Alpe d' Huez, Avoriaz, Courchevel, Les Menuires, Megeve, Meribel, Andermatt and Verbier will remain open until the end of the month.
Winter sports enthusiasts are warned that it is imperative to take out travel insurance when planning on participating in dangerous activities.
It is also an idea to check the small print to ensure you are covered for any specific activities you plan to take part in such as mountain climbing or going off piste.
